I could not have asked for a better experience here. I recommend this place 100% for any orthopedic surgery.

I am a competitive powerlifter and I tore my vastus lateralis muscle (one of the quad muscles) attempting to squat 650lbs in a competition. It was nearly a full rupture of the quad muscle and my 28 inch thigh swelled up to well above 30 inches in circumference. Due to the nature of the injury it was imperative to get it looked at and operated on quickly. The staff at SOS got me in and out faster than I would have anywhere else. I got an MRI scheduled the same day as my initial appointment, and a surgery within ~2 weeks, even around the Thanksgiving holiday.

Marissa at the front desk is always happy to help and made scheduling and payments a breeze. The X-ray technicians are friendly and accommodating especially when I could hardly move my leg. The PAs and doctors are great and were very mindful when removing stitches. Dr. Weinstein is everything I wanted in my surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and to the point. He won’t lie to you or beat around the bush. He gave me the pros and cons of surgery and the possible outcomes with the various choices I had. The surgery itself was very successful and I am nearly back to where I was. He has taken the extra steps to make sure I get back to my goals of squatting heavy again and not stopping at “it’s good enough”. He treated me like a powerlifter and never once suggested that I should give up on squatting, which was incredibly helpful mentally, especially right after the injury.

The staff at Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists and very friendly, in a good mood, and willing to help you and answer your questions.
I have spoken to Dr. Weinstein and I feel very comfortable in scheduling my knee surgery with him. He was honest and forthcoming. Can't ask for too much more than that.

Dr. Weinstein and his staff at SOS are amazing! My son injured his thumb while playing summer ball in Massachusetts. We flew him home so he could be treated by Dr. Weinstein. Dr. Weinstein and his staff evaluated him, took x-rays, ordered an MRI, read the MRI, and came up with a diagnosis and treatment plan within 3 days. Dr. Weinstein and the staff at SOS truly understand the needs and mindset of the college athlete!

I had surgery the end of June 2020 to remove bone spurs, osteo arthritis and rotator cuff repair (left shoulder) I took 30 days off from my housekeeping job and have been gaining strength and mobility ever since! This week Dr. Weinstein said I could graduate from Phys Therapy whenever I chose. So, many kudos to the Phys Therapy (Foothills Sports Medicine) staff AND especially Dr. Weinstein whose staff has been totally supportive as well as the good Doctor himself!

After being told by 2 other doctors that I needed surgery on my ankle, I received Dr. Weinstein's name thru a referral. I made an appointment to get a 3rd opinion. After looking at all of my records he suggested first to try therapy. (The other 2 Dr's never mentioned therapy) I went to therapy for close to 2 months and I am now back to normal with NO SURGERY. Thank God! I found Dr. Weinstein to be very thorough and have a very nice personality. And his office staff was amazing and very friendly. I hope I don't ever need and orthopedic doctor again, but if I do, I will return to Dr. Weinstein's office.

Excellent Doctor; Excellent Staff

Wear and tear but more tears than I could live with. In my mid-sixties and now I’m being told the X-rays and MRI confirmed exactly what Dr Weinstein suspected…my meniscus was shredded and the cartilage worn out. I had every faith and confidence in Dr. Weinstein as a surgeon because he fixed one of my elbows and replaced both my wife’s knees. I have been extremely satisfied and confident with his skills as a surgeon and his bedside manner. Dr Weinstein is a personable man; he never tries to force a person into surgery and works with his patients to try therapy or other invasive means to try hold off surgery for as long as the patient asks or is possible. The staff are also Amazing. I can’t say enough about Nicole D’Apice PA. She always takes her time to fully explain anything I asked about my procedure in regards to my overall health. I just met PA Theresa Koppal and am very pleased with the care she provided me. I am always greeted by friendly receptionists and have an easy time getting an appointment. X-Ray Techs Aubrey and Lindsey are wonderful and always so friendly. Medical assistant Marianne always puts me at ease while preparing me for my visit and Aurora who is in charge of scheduling surgeries was always available to answer my multiple questions about dates and setting up therapy afterwards. I am two weeks into my recovery and am already seeing the results of the team work and expertise at SOS and Dr Weinstein.

I’ve needed Dr Weinstein twice and both times he resolved my knee issues. They have a very efficient staff; kind and take the time to discuss questions on procedures. Most importantly, got me out of pain and gave me back great quality of life.
